COVID-19

As of 10th of August 2021 new restrictions have been put in place by the Government of Greenland for travelling to and within Greenland. Here is a summary:

It is now a requirement for passengers travelling to Greenland to be fully vaccinated.

In Greenland, persons are fully vaccinated when they have either received two shots of

  • Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty)
  • Moderna
  • AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria)

or one shot of:

  • Johnson & Johnson - Janssen Pharmaceutical

Important: Norlandair is obligated to check documentation of the vaccination, together with the negative PCR-test and SUMUT receipt.

Some passengers are excepted from this rule:

  • Passengers who can document permanent residence in Greenland. They are still required to show SUMUT-receipt and negative PCR-test. Passengers who can document that they are moving to Greenland also fall into this category.
  • Passengers between 2 and 17 years. They are still required to show SUMUT-receipt and negative PCR-test.
  • Passengers travelling between Greenlandic destinations, but with a layover in Iceland for less than 48 hours, are excepted from test, SUMUT and vaccination requirements.

Passengers under 2 years old are excepted from test and vaccination requirements.
